The event will feature one of the world’s premier biblical theologians focusing on the most direct Gospel passage in Scripture: John 3:16 As part of our commitment to be a resource to Serve the Church, along with promoting the clear proclamation of God’s Word and the advancement of the Gospel, BJU Seminary will host the 2022 Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) Southeast Regional meeting March 25-26, 2022. The event will feature one of the world’s premier biblical theologians focusing on the most direct Gospel passage in Scripture: John 3:16. Andreas Köstenberger will present the keynote message on "John 3:16 and Biblical Theology", including key points from his recently completed biblical theology for Crossway, Biblical Theology and God’s Love for the World, based on the verse’s gospel message, and a methodology for biblical theology. In a casual Q&A time after the Friday evening meal and keynote address — “Kaffee with Köstenberger” — participants will also have the opportunity to direct questions to our speaker as well as to also to connect and make new acquaintances among faculty and students from various schools. As usual, we also invite faculty and student papers. We are especially interested in papers on the subject of biblical theology and the gospel, but will also welcome papers on other topics. The deadline to submit papers is January 31, 2022.
