King High School c/o 1981 40th Reunion Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12, 2022 Harboritaville 4.0 Red, White and Blue JeansCome join us for a wonderful, relaxed weekend catching up with classmates. Festivities start Friday night, March 11, 2022 at 6:30p. We will gather together outside around the south/left waterfront gazebo at Little Harbor’s Sunset Grill. The night will kick off with our masters of ceremony Jeff “Smitty” Berrios and Alen Foxworth welcoming us with fun memories of our high school days. If you are driving to the weekend, bring lawn or camp chairs so you’ll have somewhere to sit around the large firepit that will be stoked for us for 3 hours. Your reunion committee will have various appetizers available. Sunset Grill has 3 bars you can purchase cocktails and beverages and anyone who wants to eat a full meal can dine at the Grill at their own expense. Accommodations for our reunion weekend are to be made in advance on your own at Little Harbor (using VRBO or AirB&B) or at any hotel of your choice, so when Friday night winds down you can get rested up for the fun we have planned for Saturday! Saturday is open for you to continue catching up with old friends or making new ones. Little Harbor has a beautiful white-sand private beach, pools, a private marina and lots of open space to just relax. Sometime Saturday afternoon Robbin Nelson and Alen Foxworth will have a casual cigar soiree for anyone who would like to relax and enjoy each other’s company over good cigars. Exact time and location this herf will take place will be announced Friday night. Our main Red, White and Blue Jeans event will take place Saturday night, March 12, 2022 at 6:00p at the quaint Firehouse Cultural Center, 101 1st Avenue NE in Ruskin. You’ll enjoy an evening of good food, a DJ spinning music from our high school years which means some dancing might happen and even a cigar bar. Our MC’s Alen and Jeff will do their best to entertain us while we recognize each other for “life adventures”. The Firehouse Cultural Center is situated on a finger-inlet of the Manatee River, where manatees are known to come pay a visit from time to time. The Center has plenty of green space outside for anyone who wants open air. If you purchase tickets and need to cancel prior to February 10, 2022 you’ll receive credit back on the original charge card you used, less the Eventbrite fees. No refunds will be made after February 10, 2022. Eventbrite adds fees to ticket purchases. A good bit of the fee is to cover the discount rate on credit card processing. The balance of the fee goes to Eventbrite for making it possible for us to have an automated platform to run this event from. None of the Eventbrite fees go towards the cost of putting on the event. Your reunion committee is praying we will break even! In the event of postponement of the event due to the pandemic, all tickets will transfer to the new date. In the event that doesn't work for you, the ticket price will be refunded but not the Eventbrite processing fees. We hope you will be able to join us as we come together again as the King High School c/o 1981 mighty Lions.
