SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A plan four years in the making to rehabilitate the Swampscott Town Pier will take the next step later this month when a concept design is unveiled and discussed held at a virtual public forum.
In 2018, the Harbor and Waterfront Plan identified the town pier as a project that would "enhance recreational and economic opportunities along Fisherman's Beach." The Seaport Economic Council provided funding to work with a consultant to reseearch, test and create a preliminary design for an expanded pier structure.
Those designs will be unveiled and discussed at the forum on Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. when McAllister Marine Engineering will present its proposal with an opportunity for resident input.
This meeting will take place on Zoom with a meeting number of 1-929-205-6099 and a webinar ID of 823-0402-6623.
More on the history of the project and the Harborfront & Waterfrpmt Advisory Committee can be found here.
