Join us to learn about making maple syrup and enjoy a pancake breakfast! Visit the Museum at Van Hoosen Farm anytime between 9 am and 11 am or 11 am and 1 pm to see an old-fashioned sap-to-syrup boiling operation. We will be making syrup from trees tapped right here in Rochester Hills. Sample some real maple syrup and enjoy a pancake breakfast complete with sausage, juice and coffee. Stroll through different stations of this event including: - History/Syrup Making Process - Tree tapping and Drilling - Syrup Taste test - Sap Boiling - Pancake breakfast - Museum Tickets can be purchased in advanced ($8) or at the door ($10). Pre-registration is preferred. The City of Rochester Hill’s Parks & Natural Resources Department, through their Outdoor Engagement unit, holds multiple programs for individuals and families throughout the year that highlight the many natural offerings available.
