Join Friends of the Wekiva River and Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System for a Hydrologic Cycle Tour at Wekiwa Springs State Park! Prof. James C. Adamski (Valencia College) will lead an off-road biking tour of Wekiwa Springs State Park on Saturday, February 12 at noon. The tour will feature the various geologic and hydrologic settings of the park with an emphasis on the effects on the ecosystems. The ride will be approximately 8 - 9 miles and last about 1 - 2 hours. This activity will be moderate to strenuous, depending upon trail conditions. The event is weather-dependent, in the event of inclement weather it will be rescheduled to March 26th. Participants must provide all their own equipment, including bicycles. Join us in and around the Wekiva River Basin for educational and fun events!
