Annually recurring USAW meet in Tallahassee, FL. Tentative Schedule of Events: USAW Female Session: 10:00 PM - 12:00 PM (8:00 AM Weigh-in) USAW Male Session: 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM (10:30 AM Weigh-in) These times and sessions are subject to change depending on the number and distribution of entrants. If more females register, their ticket allotment may be increased and session may be split into 2 and vice-versa. Although sessions are not going to be separated by weight class, weigh-in protocols are still going to be strictly followed and allow for qualification to other USAW events that require qualification at an LWC meet. FAQs: Am I required to wear a singlet? Athletes will be required to wear singlets unless they meet an applicable exception noted in IWF/USAW rule. Please see IWF/USAW documentation for a complete ruleset and guidance on undershirts, sleeves, etc. Note that ALL entrants under the age of 18 on the day of the meet will be required to weigh in wearing a singlet. There is no weight allowance afforded for the weight of the singlet in this case. Will there be music during attempts? Weightlifting meets are traditionally silent during the lifters' attempts, but allowances are made at local meets. Music may or may not be played at the organizer's discretion, but all athletes are allowed to request muting for their attempts. Requests for particular songs or genres will not be taken. Will there be a charge for spectators? There will be a $5 fee for spectators. How much are t-shirts? T-shirts are included in the price of the registration. What is the lightest possible attempt? Due to lack of a lighter technique bar, the minimum attempt for female lifters is 20kg and 25kg for male lifters. If you have an athlete that would like to compete with openers below these figures, and have access to a technique bar, please contact the meet director and accommodations may be made. What's the refund policy? Refunds will be given only in extenuating circumstances and only at the discretion of the event organizer. For all intents and purposes, assume refunds will not be provided.
