FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Cultural Council on Wednesday announced 2022 grant awards, which will fund a variety of arts and cultural activities in the city from movies to a summer camp. The Cultural Council gave out close to $47,000 in grants this year. Most of the money comes from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, which distributes pots of funding to each community in the state each year. The Cultural Council received about 40 applications for funding for 2022. "Special consideration was given to proposals that would support underrepresented or underserved segments of the population, positively impact various neighborhoods, and contribute to an understanding and appreciation of the cultural diversity of Framingham," the Council said in a news release.
