BEL AIR, MD — Bulldozers are rolling in front of the Bel Air Town Hall, as the town's largest construction project in decades gets underway. Demolition work on part of the building will take place Wednesday, according Director of Public Works Steve Kline. "If you look at Town Hall, a lot of demolition occurred today," Kline told the Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners during a work session Tuesday, which was held virtually. Multiple bulldozers were moving ground Wednesday morning around the police station, which has been blocked off with fencing around Lee Way. A groundbreaking for the more than $10 million project was held in mid-December. It is expected to take more than a year to complete.
