Description
ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst School District 205's board went silent at Tuesday's meeting — at least on video.
The board meeting started fine. Those watching the livestream could hear the board cite the reasons for going into closed session and then voting to do so. But while the board returned, the sound did not.
Later in the two-hour video, the music for a five-minute video about student activities could be heard. When the video ended, so did the sound.
The district sent a mass email to residents stating, "Due to technical difficulties, the audio for tonight's Elmhurst District 205 Board meeting is not working."
The district gave no word on whether any other type of recording was made. Patch plans to inquire about that.
Among the topics at the meeting was an update on how the district was handling the surge in coronavirus cases.
