Press release from the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce: January 11, 2022 OrthoIllinois has received unanimous approval from the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board to build a $17.7 million surgery center in Elgin. "We are excited to continue our investment in this community," said Tom Stanley, a partner and a spokesman with OrthoIllinois. "We are committed to this community and increasing access to care. This approval is a huge win for this community."   The new surgery center will be on Alft Lane, a block away from OrthoIllinois' 50,000-square-foot office, which is under construction on Randall Road, Stanley said. OrthoIllinois plans to build a four-room ambulatory surgery center for orthopedic, pain management, and podiatry surgical services, according to its permit application.
