The Town of Davidson offices, including town hall at 216 South Main Street and the parks and recreation department at 865 South Street, will be closed Monday, January 17 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. We will re-open Tuesday, January 18 for our regular 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. business hours.
Garbage and recycling will be collected on a regular schedule the week of January 17. Your fall 2021 newsletter contained the 2022 recycling calendar, and you may also pick up a copy in the town hall lobby or access it HERE.
Virtual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration
Community members are invited to view the Town of Davidson's virtual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration at http://www.townofdavidson.org/mlk beginning Monday, January 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Although the program remains virtual this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the town is honored to celebrate the life and work of this inspirational individual.
"Social justice is just as important today as it was 60 years ago, and continuing to remember and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as a community is vital to moving forward together," said Leslie Willis, Davidson's Parks and Recreation Director.
