SANDING HELP NEEDED We are a women-owned and operated pottery studio in South Los Angeles looking to grow our team. Are you good with your hands and small tools? Do you take pride in finishing your tasks? Are you punctual, consistent, and responsible? Do you have an upbeat attitude and a willingness to learn? Then we would love to hear from you! This is delicate work … You need to be able to lift 25 lbs with good form You must be able to walk up and down a flight of stairs You will be wearing a N95 mask all day (non-Covid related) This is a fast-paced warehouse-like environment You will need a smartphone that can handle the app Slack You must be comfortable working with and taking direction from women YOU WILL BE STANDING FOR THE FULL SHIFT Responsibilities: SANDING, SANDING and more SANDING Sanding dry clay in a variety of shapes using rough sponges and sandpaper (this is delicate, dusty and repetitive work) Correct imperfections caused by pressing or trimming Sand pieces that have been glazed-fired Follow direction according to how each shape is sanded Move and consolidate racks on a regular basis Air clean greenware before loading them in the kiln Position Details: Flexible Two part time shifts are available: 8 am – (?) until 3pm The starting pay rate is $15 - $17/hr. based on experience No experience necessary - just patience and consistency.
