There are and have been a number of large, highly profitable corporations whose activities and practices have directly and indirectly had a negative impact on the health of the general population. It seems that such organizations ought to be paying into a general fund that provides healthcare to the workers and people that have become sick or injured, because of those activities. If my factory pollutes the air, and causes acute asthma in many of my neighbors, I should pay. It's the cost of doing business. Hell, I ought to stop making them sick in the first place. Angry old men, like Mr. Hell No, are incapable of seeing the larger picture. He can't see past the end of his nose.
