Please consider adoption over buying. On Petfinder alone(and the problem is much more widespread): 104,000 dogs 108,000 cats Not to mention all the other animals. STOP BREEDING! If you obtain your animal from Craigslist, be aware of scams/lies/etc. Though Craigslist specifies "no breeding or sales" it happens anyway. Calling $400 a "rehoming fee", for example, does not make it okay. The idea is small rehoming fee for an animal someone can no longer care for, not a sale(whatever they decide to call it) to recoup costs. Man up and realize you paid more than you should have. A "goldendoodle" is not a breed, or a "pomsky"/"morkie"/"dorkie"(omg, lol)/jackchi, etc. They're mutts, plain and simple. And the cute little dog is called a shihtzu, not a shitzu. Shelters and rescues usually charge a lower adoption fee than I see here. You will also be guaranteed an animal has all its vaccinations and is spayed/neutered. If someone had an accidental litter because they mis-identified a gender, it sometimes happens. However, if they had an "accidental" litter before their animals could get fixed, and then had ANOTHER accidental litter, well then they were just ignorant and failed to keep sexes separate.
