Full-time, Temporary position June-August.
Supervises 4-5 youth ages 14-17 on Litter Crew. Productively uses assigned state vehicle to build road sets, pick up litter, recycle, and clean illegal dumpsites along highways, interchanges, and public places. Completes daily work data and works closely with Program Administrator to target littered areas.
Job requires: heavy lifting up to 40 pounds, walking 2-6 miles/day on rough terrain, constant bending, sitting/driving for long periods of time, working in all weather conditions, efficient work in stressful situations, and strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills. Must adhere to safety policies and procedures. Experience in supervision, road work or natural resources/solid waste desired.
Job runs 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, Mon-Thur. Must be at least 18+. Employment contingent upon valid driver’s license, clean driving records and Washington State Patrol criminal background check.
