Hello, my name is Murdoch and I am an 8 year old Anatolian Shepherd. I am looking for a family to call my own, one that will be able to take care of me, love me, and hopefully not leave me at home alone for long periods of time. I am a big boy and love all humans, adults and kids alike. I can be headstrong and ornery, but I really just want to make you happy. Hey guys, Murdoch is the dog that I have had for 8 years now, I got him just before I got married and had him through my divorce, 3 cross country moves, 6 houses, a divorce, and multiple other major life events. He has been the one thing that has kept me together for the past 8 years mentally. He really is a wonderful dog, but now that I live alone I simply just don't have enough time to devote to him. I work full time and go to school, so it is hard to find time to take care of him. I am looking for a good home to place him into, that will be able to handle him and his needs. He loves to be outside so a yard with a tall fence is a necessity. ideally a home with a stay-at-home spouse or parent (or a stay at home job) would be the best for him, as he has developed some separation anxiety over the past few weeks. Recently he found a broken window in my house (it does not lock or latch) and now he knows he can easily open it to go outside when I am at work, the past three work shifts he has gotten out and I have had to leave work early (and took today off, and will have to continue to do so until I find him a suitable home). A reasonable re-homeing fee will apply to ensure he is not being used for anything nefarious, but will be negotiable with the right home. He is great with kids, most dogs, and cats. We had three-four cats at all times when I was married and he loved to sleep curled up with them. He has never bitten anybody unprovoked, but he did bite someone about 4 years ago that broke into the house when nobody was home. please reach out to me if you feel like you may be a good fit for him.
