Join the Louisiana Seeds to Success team and the LSU AgCenter for the sustainable school garden training in Lafayette on February 17th.
The Louisiana Seeds to Success will be providing Sustainable School Gardening trainings to support farm to school programming across the state.
Who: Teachers, gardeners, volunteers, Louisiana Master Gardeners who support farm to school gardening. Anyone involved in farm to school are invited to apply.What: One-day training featuring lectures and hands-on learning, including educational lessons and activities for student learning.When: February 17th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Where: The Lafayette Parish Southside LibraryCost: $15 to cover food and refreshmentsThere are limited spaces for the training. Additional dates will be added in other areas around the state.
The Louisiana Farm to School Program is made possible through funding by the United States Department of Agriculture and an inter-agency agreement with LSU AgCenter and Louisiana Department of Education, Division of Nutrition Services.
