An event designed to help all women realize their God-given value and purpose as they grow in Christ. This event, for all Louisiana women, incorporates worship, Bible study, mission education/WMU and missions to help women realize their God-given value and purpose as they grow in Christ. Breakout sessions will offer encouragement to fulfill their purposes through physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional development. The WMU annual meeting and business session is included in this event. WMU Annual Meeting is included in this Embrace event. Breakout Topics relate to spiritual growth/discipleship, personal development, missions, leadership/methods and family dynamics. Sample topics are The Foster Care Puzzle, Becoming a Woman of Influence, Rest, My Time, My Service (the joy of volunteerism), Spiritual Disciplines and others. NEW in 2022 – two conferences for Hispanic women, taught in Spanish: Disciplinas Espirituales and Orando Efectivamente. Place: First Baptist Church, Lafayette Bible Basis: Hebrews 10:39 “But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.” Key Speaker: Courtney Veasey, founder of Brunch Ministries, through which she serves as an itinerant Bible teacher, most often speaking to women and teenage girls in conference and retreat events. She is a leadership trainer and encourager who lives in Florida and loves to have fun with her family, cheering for the Seminoles and enjoying time outdoors. Connie was elected to serve as national WMU President in June 2021, having most recently served as State WMU director for the New Mexico Baptist Convention. She is an innovative thinker and speaker; she loves people and she loves missions. She loves her family – husband, daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. But first and foremost, Connie loves Jesus and lives to share the Good News.
