Description

Immerse yourself in the forest and experience a deep connection with the natural world on a restorative and meditative forest bathing walk. Imbolc is one of the eight ancient Celtic festivals of the year and occurs midway between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Sometimes referred to as the ‘festival of earth awakening’, Imbolc is seen as a time when the energies of spring are stirring, and the land is beginning to wake from its winter sleep. We innately feel our rebirth coming, and now is the ideal time to peer within and see what we are choosing to leave in the dark behind us and what we are bringing into the Light. We invite you to spend some time connecting with nature and the seasonal changes as we celebrate this transformational time. Allow yourself to relax into the gentle movements and patterns of the natural world and revitalize your physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional stresses and kinks. At the conclusion of our time together we will create a nature mandala from our surroundings. A hot, locally foraged tea will be served. More information about forest bathing and our upcoming walks can be found here. 100% of your registration supports our Nature Nurtures Project that brings the healing power of nature to residents of nursing homes—free of charge. This walk will take place at Canfield-Meadow Woods Nature Preserve in Essex, Ct. Please park at Book Hills Wood Road Entrance. 31 Book Hills Wood Road, Essex, Ct.
