Beginner Crochet - Crochet a Cowl with Jo, of Sawmill Cameretti Beginner Crochet - Crochet a CowlJoin Jo Cohen-Caracappa, Craft Yarn Council certified crochet teacher for this fun beginner class. In this class, you will learn all of the basic skills and stitches of crochet. The simply stripped cowl teaches single and half double crochet as well as changing colors and finishing techniques. The granny stitch cowl teaches crochet's taller stitches and how to manipulate them to add interest to a project. This beginner-friendly class is open to all level crocheters. Class price does not include materials. Materials Needed: The simply stripped cowl requires 200 yards of smooth worsted weight (size 4) yarn in the main color and a small amount of contrast color of your choice. The granny cowl requires approximately 75 yards of smooth worsted weight yarn (size 4) in each color you choose. Please bring a size H hook and a yarn needle. The hook and needle will be available for purchase at Nest. For your safety, this class will be limited to 6 attendees to maintain proper social distancing. Masks are required in all indoor spaces.
