Come have fun with us while learning about biodiversity through exploration and activities for all ages. Lunch is included!
Participate in Mercy Ecology’s BioBlitz, a field study to record all the living species within the land. This will be a second BioBlitz, building on the one conducted in the spring of 2017, to provide an extended picture and count of the plants, animals, and other organisms that live on the land. It is a community event with scientists, naturalists and volunteers doing the inventory to raise awareness of the biodiversity and thus care for it.
A BioBlitz is a communal citizen-science effort to identify as many species as possible within a certain location and time period. It's a great way to engage our community in learning about and connecting with our environment through conversation, exploration and activities for all ages. By hosting a BioBlitz, we hope to share something beautiful with all who “reside” on the land we share at Mercy Ecospirituality Center in Vermont. It’s also an excuse for us to gather in the great outdoors and have a lot of fun!
