17th Annual Crawfish Cook-off The Hospice House's signature event! The largest one day event on the Northshore boasts over 40,000 pounds of crawfish. Crawfish are boiled up by over 50 teams competing for the title of "Best Crawfish in St Tammany Parish". Celebrity judges as well as the teams themselves decide the winners. 3 local bands entertain the crowd of 8,000 plus people every year. Admission includes all the crawfish you can eat (while you are there) and the concert event. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. On sale closer to the event. No outside food or drink, ice chests, tables, trays or tents allowed. Event is rain or shine. No refunds will be given. Entertainment this year is: 21 Front Street The Phunky Monkeys Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers The Hospice Foundation of the South is dedicated to providing resources for medical and emotional care for terminally ill patients and their families.  We manage the Hospice House, a home designed to allow terminally ill patients who are in a preferred hospice program with the Hospice Foundation, a place to stay during their final days at no cost.
