Description

One hour interactive seminar that delves into the science behind how we experience flavor and taste, both physically and psychologically. Ever wonder why some people LOVE cilantro and other people hate it? We all experience taste and flavor a little differently. We're going to delve into our senses and explore how we individually experience taste and flavor with some science, visuals and interactive tastings. This class is intended for those that want to improve their palate and learn how to develop it. Particularly appropriate for those that work in Food & Beverage, chef school students, or Foodies. (It's also good for those that have had Covid-19 and have experienced a loss or diminished sense of smell. Some of the exercises we will be doing are good for building it back.) This class is a pre-requisite in the Palate Program that helps evolve and develop your palate. Upon completing this class, you will be able to visit The Cocktail Collaborative during operational hours and order mini blind flights of spirits to work on palate development. (Open to members only.) Go to cocktailcollaborative.com for more details on memberships and events. The class will last for 1 hour. Attendees can stay for an extra half hour for libations (related to the class). No Refunds given up to 24 hours prior to event. Must be 21 to attend. EVENT DETAILS Monday, January 31st 1pm-2:30pm Garden Bar PHX, 822 N. 6th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85003 Street Parking. A 501c7 workspace and educational space for people passionate about spirits, cocktails and flavor!
