Here are the top three stories today in Spokane: The city of Spokane is looking for a new emergency warming shelter after the closure of the one located in the city's Convention Center for repairs. Officials are speaking out about being unable to find a permanent location for a warming shelter in over a year. By its code, the City of Spokane must provide shelter during extreme heat or cold. (Spokane Public Radio) The iconic Seattle-based Russian bakery "Piroshky Piroshky" is set to return to Spokane on Jan. 18 and 19. Interested patrons can pre-order delicious baked goods before the Jan. 18 and 19 deadline. (KREM.com) This weekend, shoppers at some eastern Washington grocery stores might have found several empty shelves. Due to snow, trucks carrying items like produce, eggs, bread, and coffee were stuck on the other side of the pass. Store shelves will soon be filled as Snoqualmie Pass is now open to commercial vehicles.
