BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The newest public elementary school in Baltimore County is scheduled to open for students in September 2022, and the school system is asking the community to help pick a name.
An online survey will open Tuesday, Jan. 11, and run through Thursday, Jan. 27.
Two names are under consideration: Gum Spring Elementary School and Rossville Elementary School. Officials said they were chosen based on a survey conducted in December.
Take the online survey.
Once the votes are in, the Baltimore County Board of Education will recommend the name for approval.
Construction for the $48 million project began in summer 2021, and the school is expected to be complete by August.
