The invasion took place mid-Monday morning at 494 Naugatuck Ave. The home is part of the Devon Manor housing complex, and Realtor.com lists the address as a single-family house with two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms.
WTNH posted surveillance footage of the incident, and it shows two people holding packages walk up to a doorway and enter the home. A person can be heard screaming.
Amazon has confirmed that the suspects are not employed by the company.
"We are glad the family is safe after this horrible incident. We have spoken with the Milford Detective Bureau and can confirm the assailants were not Amazon employees," Amazon spokesperson Loni Monroe said. "We take these matters seriously and are working with law enforcement as they continue to investigate."
People were asked to avoid the area yesterday as officers investigated. Police said the incident was isolated and there is no danger to the public.
The Detective Bureau is investigating the home invasion, and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Dancy (203-783-4798, [email protected]) or Detective Mahoney (293-783-4727, [email protected]).
