Press release from the City of Annapolis: January 11, 2022 PRESS RELEASE Mayor Gavin Buckley Public Information Office 160 Duke of Gloucester Street Annapolis, Maryland 21401 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Media Contact: Mitchelle Stephenson, 410-972-7724 or [email protected] City Offices Closed for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 17, 2022 Some City Services Remain Operational; Parade Scheduled for April Annapolis, MD (January 11, 2022) - Mayor Gavin Buckley reminds residents that Annapolis City government offices will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022 in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday and national Day of Service. Annapolis Transit will operate on a Sunday Service Schedule (Purple, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; State Shuttle, 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.). For more information on transit schedules, visit https://www.annapolis.gov/185/Bus-Routes-Schedules. Refuse and Recycling: Curbside collections WILL NOT be affected. Recreation and Parks: The Pip Moyer Recreation Center will operate on a regular schedule. The Stanton Center will be closed. The Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade, which had traditionally been held in January, has been permanently moved to April due to ongoing weather concerns in January. This year's parade will be on Saturday, April 2, 2022 and will follow the traditional route through downtown. For information about the parade, please contact parade organizers at [email protected].
