Here are the top stories in Des Moines today: AMVETS Post 2, a nonprofit that works with nearly six hundred local Des Moines veterans, was robbed and vandalized. Video surveillance recorded two thieves and a dark-colored Jeep missing a tail light leaving the scene. Des Moines Police are asking anyone with information to contact them. The two most important issues being legislated are the ongoing labor shortage and the childcare crisis resonating throughout the state.
