COVENTRY, RI — We may not have had a PowerBall winner this weekend, but one lucky Rhode Islander is starting the year with a much fuller bank account. The Rhode Island Lottery announced that a jackpot Wild Money ticket was sold in Coventry last week. The $77,514 jackpot ticket was sold at the Stop & Shop on Tiogue Avenue last Wednesday night. Along with the Wild Money jackpot, several high-value tickets were sold and cashed in across Rhode Island over the past few days. On Friday, a Warwick man claimed a $50,000 prize in a "Power 10X" instant win ticket sold at the Seasons Corner Market on Hartford Avenue in Scituate. That same day, a man from Douglas, Massachusetts claimed a $40,000 prize for a "50X The Money" ticket he received over the holidays. The ticket was sold at the Cumberland Farms on Broad Street in Central Falls. Finally, two tickets worth $50,000 and $10,000 were cashed on Monday. One was sold at the Cumberland Farms on New London Turnpike in Coventry, and the other at Bestway Gas on Newport Avenue in Pawtucket.
