Pittsburgh Man Charged In Infant Son's Death

PITTSBURGH, PA — A Pittsburgh man has been arrested for the death of his 7-week-old son in February 2020. Cory Neidert, 31, is charged with criminal homicide, endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person. Police initially responded to a home in the 900 block of Delevan Street in Greenfield after Neidert called 911 and said the baby had fallen down the stairs. The infant was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. The death was later ruled a homicide. Neidert is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
