Go Ape is seeking qualified candidates to support the construction team in building its new mini-golf attraction. Individuals in this role will be responsible for constructing and installing components made of wood and comparable materials. It is required that the highest quality of work is achieved while observing all safety practices. Ideally, interested individuals should have the ability to work in both Memphis, TN and Williamsburg, VA for the duration of both projects, which is anticipated to last 2-4 weeks in each location. Project start date is anticipated to be mid-January or early February.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Accurately measuring and cutting components to specifications.
Assemble attraction fixtures using woodworking machinery, hand tools, or power tools.
Maintain tools and equipment in an organized fashion.
Report any construction variance or safety concern to the construction team management.
Commitment to quality and safety.
Represent the brand and culture of Go Ape at all times in a professional and respectful manner.
Requirements:
Prior experience in carpentry, landscaping, treecare industry, or other construction experience is required
Ability to lift at least 100 lbs
Ability to read and use tape measure
Operate carpentry tools, including saws, drills, and other power tools
Stand for long periods of time
Work outside in varying weather conditions
Punctual, professional, and able to work under own initiative
Team player
Reliable transportation to and from the job site
Preferably ability to travel nationwide, staying in one location for several weeks at a time
Status: Temporary, Contract
