HINSDALE, IL — A La Grange man stopped for speeding last week in Hinsdale was found to have a handgun immediately accessible, according to a police report. The problem: The man had no firearm owner's identification, or FOID card, police said. Filemon Avila, 42, was arrested on charges of aggravated unlawful use of weapon, no firearm owner's identification card, driving with a revoked license, speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle. The stop took place about 9 a.m. Saturday in the 10 block of East Ogden Avenue. He was released and taken to the DuPage County Jail.
