The Marshall Scholarship: Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Each year, $4,500 one-year Wentz Research Scholarships are awarded to approximately 40 undergraduates to conduct independent research with the guidance of a faculty mentor in any field of study. Wentz applicants with majors and/or minors in chemistry, geology and physics are eligible for the Purdie Research Scholarship, a $6,500 award for research in those specific field. Applications are due Feb. 9.
