WHITE PLAINS, NY — Besides hosting a coronavirus testing center, the Westchester County Center in White Plains will be a site for pediatric vaccinations and booster shots starting Wednesday. The Westchester County Department of Health will run the vaccination and booster clinic, with testing occurring at different times and in a different section of the county center. Additionally, officials said the facility will be thoroughly cleaned in between testing and vaccination and booster times. County Executive George Latimer thanked the health department for getting the clinics up and running. "We have the space," he said, "We have it set up as a medical facility so offering testing, as well as vaccinations and boosters, makes sense and it is what the people of this county need right now." Latimer encouraged everyone to get vaccinated and get boosted.. "Getting COVID vaccinated, as opposed to not vaccinated, can be the difference between requiring hospitalization and just having mild symptoms," he said.
