MARIETTA, GA — A 26-year-old man has been identified as the victim who was hit by a car overnight on Saturday, according to the Marietta Police Department. At 3:38 a.m. Saturday, Mainor Asahel Chirinos Sanchez of Marietta was walking on Interstate 75 north in the travel lanes when he was hit by a 2020 Toyota Tundra, driven by 63-year-old Daniel Bittner of Ohio. Chirinos Sanchez was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigators initially not able to identify him initially, but after seeing news reports, his family came forward. No charges are anticipated, police said Monday. "Please keep the families of all involved in your prayers," Marietta police said.
