Description
TUCSON, AZ — Pima County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry is finally home after being hospitalized and then in rehabilitation since he was hit by a car while biking in downtown Tucson on Oct. 23, according to a news release from the county.
Huckelberry is still in the process of recovering, with the support his wife Maureen, along with a team of therapists and caregivers.
"It's wonderful for Chuck to be home with me," Maureen Huckelberry said in a statement. "He continues an aggressive therapy regimen, including physical, occupational, and speech therapies."
Maureen Huckelberry thanked her husband's caregivers and well-wishers over the past few weeks.
The Huckelberry family is in the process of deciding if and when the county administrator might return to work.
Maureen Huckelberry asks that people wanting to show their support for Chuck Huckelberry's recovery donate blood, donate to the American Red Cross or give to a local bicycle advocacy organization.
