Hello Everyone, East Valley is at capacity with dogs to staff/volunteer ratio. This is an Ex OBS dog in need of rescue placement, Due to a bite. Veronica Tank #A2008032 1yr 1 mo 89 lbs Came to the shelter as an Owner Surrender, on 11/16/21, due to a bite to child that was teasing him. no stitches. 'Wiggle butt' and tail nub. Leaned in for petting. PlayGroup 12/16/21 Bouncy, romps in the yard. Seeks play. Doesn't know his size 12/31/2021 Tank was easy to leash through the opening in the kennel door. He pulled a bit through the corridor on the way to the play yard, but he ignored the barking dogs. I removed the leash in the yard and he wandered around. He was engaging with me, playful, and he showed that he knows a few commands - sit, down, paw. He takes treats gently, or catches them mid-air. He and the dog, Cookie, who was in the adjacent yard, had a brief, friendly greeting at the dividing fence. I was able to releash Tank without issue, but he did pull on the way back to the kennel.
