What exactly is Gov. Abbott doing to stop immigration in Texas?

Gov. Abbott has been very unsuccessful at preventing immigrants from flooding his state. You would think that a man who talks so tuff about immigration would be more proactive at proving his competence. More illegals cross the U.S. border from Mexico into Texas than all other border states combined. Newsom allows fewer immigrants into CA than Abbott allows into Texas. There appears to be very little law and order in the law and order state of Texas. More Drugs and weapons also cross the border from Mexico to Texas as well.
