Skilled Cabinet Maker-Finish Carpenter Qualifications ● Minimum of 5 years experience (Required) ● High School or equivalent (Prefered) Job Details Contract, piece work, hourly Wages depending on experience and performance Job Description Qualified journeyman finish carpenter needed. Experience in other trades is a plus. Such as ceramic tile, carpentry, cabinet making, fence building, handyman etc. Must be able to work as a team player or individually. Carpenters both rough, framing, finish and cabinet makers. Masons, Caulkers, Concrete, BrickLayer, Tuck Point. Responsibilities ● Ability to follow directions, communicate and work well with others in a team environment ● Prepare and organize area to be painted ● Ensure all supplies/paints and other materials have been secured for the project ● Thoroughly clean area, supplies and equipment when project is complete ● Assist and perform other work duties as directed by management Skills ● Build cabinets in shop or onsite ● Knowledge of commercial and residential carpentry techniques ● Ability to learn new skills with attention to detail ● Lift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment ● Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions ● Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in carpentry ● Ability to use hand and power tools and demonstrate proper carpentry techniques and methods ● Measure and mark lumber and other materials ● Cut and shape wood, plastic, drywall and/or fiberglass ● Building and installing cabinetry, stair building and/or trim work ● Proficient in using tools such as saws, sanders, drills, planers, etc. ● Able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolding and stairs Requirements ● Have reliable transportation ● Valid Class C Texas Drivers License ● Own basic hand tools used in the trade ● Proof of General Liability Insurance ● Pass a drug test ● References needed and employment history
