Montana Acting Studio and Casting Presents - Film Acting Classes 2022 There are 4 classes total. Classes Start Jan 31st 2022. ages 15+ please. In Season 1 - MAS Acting Class, we will be teaching the proper techniques and skills for Montana film industry over several classes. Terminology is very important in the film industry. In order to understand what casting directors, directors, producers and anyone on set you will need to know what terms to use. There are tons of terms to learn and we will narrow down these terms to ones a beginning actor needs to know. Memorization techniques are a MUST! Here at MAS, we understand that one of the main jobs as an actor is to memorize their lines. It may sound very easy for some but for others this may be a challenge. We teach multiple ways to memorize lines. One technique may work for one and not for another but we will try to make these simple and user friendly as possible. All topics that will be covered: -Terminology -Getting to know your character -Improv techniques - used to help create a real character, teach active listening, and engage your audience. -Character development through methods and exploration. -Camera performance - Techniques to keep you in character even when there is dozens of eyes staring and watching. -Creating character mannerisms and physicality. -Scene study - Technics and know the different scenes and set emotions for your character. -Set work - How to collaborate with other artists, make connections with other artists, and keep the energy up for long days. -Set Etiquette - What to do and not to do on set. (one bad move or choice off camera can ruin your career. -Video Audition - The proper ways to set up, record, and send a video audition to casting directors.
