We are looking for team players! PawsUp DoggyDaycare is a small, Mom & Pop shop looking for dedicated individuals with life goals involving the care, training, and management of dogs. There are only a handful of total job positions and we strive to cross train employees so that staff can be interchangeable and hours can be more available. The more you are willing to learn and do, the more flexible we can be with hours and scheduling. We would like to hire for long term employment and will help build and sharpen skills involving dogs. Experience is not necessary but it is preferred. Anyone without professional experience with dogs should expect a long period of employee training, which is paid at Arizona state minimum wage. Position starts at part-time hours until we see what your commitment level is like. Job duties include and are not limited to: Sweeping indoors and outdoors Mopping tile and rubber floors Disinfecting all manner of surfaces from water bowls to kennel pans to rooms and stalls Managing groups of up to 8 dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and training levels while employing the use of management approved techniques Effectively tracking group rotations so that all dogs are able to play, drink water, rest, and get a health assessment on a frequent and regular basis Reporting behaviors, safety issues, and other important information to management and other staff Use of chemical sprayers for disinfection purposes Maintaining high levels of communication with team members about the flow of the day and the dogs in our care Making judgement calls on the fly Learn about animal learning, operant and classical conditioning, and the four quadrants of operant conditioning and how it all fits into the management of the daycare dogs Brush out fur coats, bathing, nail trimming, and other dog grooming related tasks Customer service Please submit a resume in order to be considered.
