Logic Pro Midi Controller Help

Looking for expert Logic Pro midi controller set up. I'm having issues assigning Arturia MiniLap MKII keyboard controller knobs to the logic faders. Something is wrong with Logic. If I delete the controller it works, but every time I open logic it refinds the controller and doesn't work properly. Auto find is turned off. I'm using Logic 10.7 on a brand new MacBook pro. It's not a simple as "midi learn". I'm happy to pay for your time. Thanks, Andy
