Have you always wanted to work with animals, but were not sure where to start? Canine To Five Team and let us train you to work with dogs in a safe, positive reinforcement facility. Our supportive team and training process allows people who have never worked with dogs to be successful. We have both AM (6am-1 pm) and PM (12pm-8 pm) spots available. Up to 40 hours a week available, plus optional overtime. Requirements: Must love dogs! No experience required, but a plus (i.e. Vet Technician, Kennel Technician, Groomer, Dog Walker, Dog Attendant, etc.) Must be dedicated to the care and proper treatment of dogs Must be proactive, and demonstrate a willingness to learn Must posses a good work ethic, leadership, responsibility, dependability and patience Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand/walk/bend for up to 8 hours per day The ability to pay close attention to detail and remain in constant motion for the majority of the shift Daily Responsibilities: Provide food and water to dogs according to schedules and feeding instructions Engage and redirect dogs in a group-play environment Ensure safe and clean conditions for all dogs in our care Recognize and interpret dog body language Provide basic first aid to injured animals Maintain facility laundry and clean, organize, and disinfect, dog quarters and equipment Collect and record animal information such as physical condition, treatments received, medications given, and food intake Proactively clean up after dogs throughout the shift Completing daily add-on services
