I am recruiting for Landscaping Associate for an apartment community located in beautiful Laguna Hills. This is an evaluation to hire position paying $16-$17/hr. Full-time, day shift; M-F 7:00am – 3:30pm, starting as soon as possible. Looking for someone who loves to work outdoors! Responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding the campus. Plants flowers, mows, removes weeds, blows leaves and maintains the grounds surrounding the structures Job Details Works with associates and contractors to finish projects (e.g. transporting and/or securing materials, completing specific tasks, etc.) in a safe, efficient manner. Maintains assigned vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition. Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions. Performs a wide variety of general and semi-skilled landscaping activities (e.g. mowing, weeding, trenching, planting, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames. Prepares, if requested, written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information. Performs specific digging, mowing, planting, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, etc. in accordance with appropriate standards, and in conjunction with management staff. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1 year of previous experience in digging, mowing, pruning, weeding, and trenching desired. Must have the ability to interact effectively with prospects, residents, peers, and management. Self-motivation, reliability and responsibility. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Strong customer service skills. English proficiency required; bi-lingual skills desired. Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
