The Role HydroPoint is looking for a motivated irrigation professional to join our Professional Services Team as a Field Technician. You’re the person our customers will turn to for high-quality, turnkey installation services and support for all HydroPoint brands. This role is perfect for you if you’re excited to demonstrate smart irrigation installation, assessment, and tech support services in your assigned territory. The Challenge > You’ll conduct site surveys to document existing controllers, backflows, POC’s and indoor mainlines > You’ll complete irrigation audits > You’ll install and manage flow sensors and flow sensing hardware > You’ll recommend and perform irrigation system repairs with ease > You’ll train contractors on how to complete site surveys and how to install WaterCompass devices The Right Person > You’ll reside in your assigned territory and you’re excited about traveling 50–75% of the month > You’re able to successfully manage your own schedule and complete your tasks autonomously > You’re able to use the company’s established data collection tool to complete comprehensive documentation of all work performed > You have a strong working understanding of smart irrigation control systems and flow management >You have a strong understanding of Smart Irrigation Systems programming, design, and hydraulics >You have a deep understanding of water delivery methods such as sprinkler head types, drip systems, bubblers, and high-efficiency spray heads, and how they impact smart irrigation > You have experience installing and operating smart controllers, flow sensors, flow sensor hardware > You have experience troubleshooting and implementing solutions for irrigation-related electrical programs > You have a deep understanding of various Points of Connection (PoC), looped mainlines, and leg mainlines > You’re skilled with MS Office Suite and online communication tools, and you can use a computer and mobile devices to create documents, complete surveys, and communicate effectively Bonus Points If… > You have experience with WeatherTRAK and Baseline Smart Irrigation controllers and flow sensors > You’re fluent in Spanish > You have CRM experience What You Get Partner with a supportive and excited company that is saving the world’s most precious resource, one installation at a time, and enjoy a robust and comprehensive benefits package: > 11 paid holidays in 2022 > Two weeks paid time off (three weeks after four years of service) > 401(k) retirement plan > Comprehensive health and welfare benefits HydroPoint is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to hiring a diverse work team (EEO/AA).
