A dockhand is esponsible for duties such as receiving inbound cargo, reweighing and capturing dimensions of cargo, obtaining correct piece counts, labeling cargo, and creating manifests for outbound line haul trucks, to name a few. We are hiring for the second shift (2:30 PM to 12:00 Midnight) We are a full service expedited carrier now offering service throughout the US and Canada. We have been in business for over forty years, and our fleet includes over 300 vehicles, ranging from vans to 53-foot trailers. We also offer great family health, dental, and vision benefits. A Dockhand should: • Communicate effectively to other dock workers and office personnel • Be able to adapt to change and coordinate accordingly, such as an early or late arriving truck • Be available to customers for loading/unloading • Have adequate self-monitoring skills, knowing when to help a customer and when to load/unload line haul trucks • Have strong organizational skills • Be able to field and respond to problems in a timely manner • Enforce company and government procedures and policies through their work Benefits: • Dental Insurance • Health Insurance • Paid Time Off • Vision Insurance Benefit Conditions: • Waiting period may apply • Only full-time employees eligible Experience: • Pallet Jack: 1 year (Preferred) • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred) • warehouse: 1 year (Preferred) • Forklift Certified (Preferred) • Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED • Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma
