Description

I am going to show how collaging can be used as a tool to identify and connect with the parts of us that we sometimes forget exist. Using very simple materials* (scissors, glue, paper, and magazine images), you will create a collage and interpret it through journaling in order to help you discover and balance the many parts of Self. Collage cards provide a creative visual that represents at least one part of who you are (e.g. the part who is lonely, the part who loses control, the part who creates, the carefree child, the critic, the socialite, the manager, the friend, etc.), bringing you closer to your own inner wisdom. You don’t have to be an artist to do this; anyone can create and enjoy this powerful practice. Founded by Seena B. Frost, the SoulCollage method can be used as a tool to identify, visualize, and connect with the parts of us that we sometimes try to ignore, run from, or deny exist. Or the parts that protect us, mask us, or keep us in check. Regardless, all these parts of Self make you who you are. This workshop will take place at Wax and Wane January 30th from 12-1:30pm. Snowy Owl hot tea and water will be provided. Follow @the_charcoal_annex and @nickelcity_waxandwane on Instagram for more details as well as other upcoming workshops and events! *All materials will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own magazines or images to use as well. Ages 18+
