Apartment maintenance technician- Immediate Opening

In need of a maintenance technician for apartment complex, town homes and single family homes that can start as soon as possible. The perfect candidate will pay attention to detail, have good customer service skills, and be able to not only work as a team but alone at times. Must be able to pass a background check. Experience preferred but not necessary. We are willing to train the right person. Unit turns (this is huge portion of the job, but NOT the only thing) painting (interior) pick up grounds every morning Clean out parking lot drains and gutters when needed take dumpsters to compactor and empty them (this job is alternated with other maintenance techs) garbage disposal replacement unclogging sink and toilet drains, installing toilet parts, replacing shower heads, faucets. Knowledge of hot water tank repair and or replace cutting doors re screening screens replacing blinds Replace exterior light bulbs pressure washing, snow removal, leaf cleanup (as needed) Sheetrock repair/replacement Must be friendly, follow written and verbal directions, be able to work as a team, be honest, good communicator, and eager to learn. Must have your own vehicle and personal cell phone. After 30 days will given the after hours phone for 1 week at a time ( will be shared with other maintenance techs). Position requires driving to Ferndale occasionally for maintenance at property located there and to the 2 single family homes we manage as well, mileage is paid. Must be able to pass background check. Position is 8:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday with some overtime when on call. Medical, vision, dental will be offered. Please DO NOT call office.
