Bring your excess seed to exchange for something new to add to your 2022 garden at the DGC/IPPL Seed Exchange. Join the Darien Garden Club at Indian Prairie Public Library for a seed exchange to help kick-start your garden this spring. Gather up your saved seed from your garden or unwanted seed packages to trade at the exchange. Please bring seed packages labeled with plant name, plant preferences and characteristics such as sun, shade, water requirements, height, flower color, vining etc. All types of seed are welcome. This event will operate as an even exchange; the more you have to trade the more seed will go home with you. Darien Garden Club members will be on hand to help you choose and encourage your green thumbs. Learn how the IPPL Seed library works and gather even more seed for your 2022 garden. However, If you register here on Eventbrite you will be sent event reminders via email so that you will not miss this FUN and FREE event. This is a drop in event. This program is held indoors. Please note the library’s current mask policy at ippl.info/covid19/ Indian Prairie Public Library houses a Seed Library. Add to your cache after you visit the exchange by visiting the Seed Library Get garden advice from Darien Garden Club members at the Seed Exchange. Check in at the desk to receive tickets for each seed package you bring. You will then exchange the tickets for new seeds to bring home for your 2022 garden. Learn how to harvest your seed at the end of the season. Meet other gardeners and network while at the exchange Darien Garden Club is a friendly organization filled with fun people who enjoy gardening and want to learn more about their hobby.
