If you're hoping to become a better at-home barista, this event is for you. Learn from some of Charlotte's top baristas and coffee roasters. Join Food & Beverage Social Club, Sugar Creek Coffee Roasters, and The Hobbyist at "Craft Coffee 101" - an interactive and demonstrative class about all things coffee. This event is great for those new to craft coffee and coffee enthusiasts alike! This event will take place on Sunday, January 23rd, from 10:00am-12:00pm at Sugar Creek Coffee Roasters in Indian Trail, NC... a quick drive from most parts of Charlotte! We are thrilled to showcase Sugar Creek Coffee as we get a live demonstration of coffee bean roasting in their facility. Sugar Creek representatives will teach us about how coffee beans are grown, harvested, flavored, and roasted. They will share a flight of their coffee blends and explain how flavors and blends are achieved in the roasting process. They will also explain how coffee is used to flavor different beers! We are also so excited to have baristas and leadership from The Hobbyist lead mini-courses on the differences between espresso based drinks, how to brew the best coffee at home, and maybe even a little latte art! If you're wanting to learn the difference between a latte and an americano, or how to utilize a French Press, this is the class for you. Your Ticket & Investment Includes: A 2 hour event including a tour of a coffee roasting facility, a live demonstration of coffee roasting, and mini courses about espresso based drinks, home brewing, and latte art. We assess refunds on a case-by-case basis. If we can fill your seat from our Waitlist, we will refund you, minus Eventbrite fees. If we cannot fill your seat, or if there is not enough time to fill your seat, then we cannot guarantee a refund due to the fact that we have guaranteed minimums and guest counts with our culinary partners.
